Andy Burnham was right to apologise for Labour's stance on Gaza. But words won't cut it. We need decisive action — in solidarity with the Palestinian people and to uphold international law.

We, past and present Labour voters and members, are urging the Prime Minister to adhere to the policy passed at last year's Labour Conference:

  • Recognising the genocide in Gaza in line with the UN Commission of Inquiry, experts and several human rights organisations.
  • Imposing sanctions on Israel in response to violations of international law.
  • Implementing a full embargo on arms sales and transfers to Israel.
  • Supporting an immediate and lasting ceasefire and unrestricted humanitarian access.
