The Labour Government plans to cut £5 billion from benefits for disabled people in the UK. This would be the largest cut in social security for a decade.
This is just more austerity, plain and simple. Despite concessions to the welfare bill, an estimated 150,000 people are still likely to be pushed into poverty. We need a Labour Government that will tax the rich to fix our public services, not demonise the poor.
Use our lobbying tool below to write to your Labour MP urging them to vote against any cuts to welfare. If you do not have a Labour MP, you can write to Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall instead.
